BurnYou can get burnt in many ways, sometimes by washing your hands and feet under a very hot tap, pouring hot tea or coffee or bathing in very hot water. They are very common, especially among children.Usually, small burns which are minor, can be treated at home, but for the serious ones we should be given hospital care.
EczemaThis is a kind of skin problems that causes the skin to become irritable, and sometimes lead to rash. Usually eczema is not contagious, but of the many kinds of eczema, atopic eczema is the most common, though it is said to be caused due to a person?s immune system reacting to things. Sometimes, small skin allergies could also be a form of eczema.
LupusThis condition is rarely heard about, but actually worldwide it is more common than leukaemia, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy. Lupus is an autoimmune disease where in the patient’s immune system creates antibodies which attack the person’s body tissues instead of protecting it from disease and infection.
MelanomaThis is one of the more serious skin care problems. If diagnosed and removed in the early stages, it can be cured 100 percent. But incase it increases and spreads to other parts of the body, it is more difficult to treat and can also be lethal. If you find any change in the size, shape or color of a mole or other skin growth over a month or so, it could be a warning sign of melanoma.
ScabiesScabies is a commonly experienced skin infection that looks like a small itchy bumps and blisters. This is caused due to the tiny mites that live the top layer of our skin in order to lay their eggs. These can be seen as burrows that are reddish or darkened lines on your skin, chiefly on the wrists and between the fingers. If you are in a congested place, you could contract an infection.
Scleroderma Symptoms & RemediesScleroderma is a chronic skin problem that causes the skin, blood vessels and internal organs to thicken, harden and tighten. It is recognized as an autoimmune disease of the connective tissue. This means that it occurs when the body’s tissues are attacked by its own immune system.
Seborrheic dermatitisSeborrheic dermatitis is a very common skin problem that is seen as flaking skin or red oily skin patches. Thee patches are itchy and cause a lot of embarrassment, since they show up on the face. It can also affect the scalp, eyebrows, and ear canals, sides of the nose, behind the ears, armpits, chest and even groin. People usually complain of dandruff on the back and sides of the scalp.
Swimmer's ItchSwimmer's itch is a skin rash that is red and patchy and itches on those part of the body that have been exposed to water while swimming. Aquatic or amphibious snails release the larval parasite, cercaria, and dermatitis when it mistakenly penetrates a swimmer’s skin through the host, usually a duck. This is common both in freshwater and in marine coastal environments.
VitiligoWhen white spots appear on your skin on both sides of the body in the same location, then it is for sure, vitiligo. Vitiligo affects both the genders, all races and people of all ages.When the immune cells of our body attack the melanocytes or the pigmentation cells and kill them, you are infected with vitiligo. People affected with vitiligo are sensitive to free radicals and need vitamin therapy. It could sometimes be a genetic disease.
